When non-surgical therapy is not enough, Elonix Clinic performs the full range of periodontal surgery procedures. Our periodontists are trained in microsurgical techniques with magnification loupes and use bioresorbable membranes, enamel matrix derivatives (Emdogain) and connective tissue grafts to save teeth that other clinics recommend extracting.

Surgical Procedures Offered

Open flap debridement (OFD) gives direct access to deep calculus under local anaesthesia. Guided tissue regeneration (GTR) uses bone grafts and membranes to rebuild lost bone, while Emdogain stimulates periodontal ligament regrowth. For aesthetic recessions we use the modified coronally advanced flap with connective tissue harvested from the palate, achieving predictable root coverage of 85-95%.

Post-Surgical Protocol

Patients stay in Tirana for a minimum of four nights after major surgery. Sutures are removed at day 10 during a follow-up that can be done in Tirana or managed by a local dentist with a photo review. We prescribe chlorhexidine rinse, systemic antibiotics when indicated and soft diet instructions in English, Italian or Spanish.
