Both premium systems, both at official prices, both under our 5-year warranty. Here is how they differ and how we decide which one goes in your jaw.
At Elonix Clinic in Tirana we place both of the world's leading implant systems at their official prices: Straumann BLT at €800 and Nobel Biocare at €700 per implant. A zirconia crown on either adds €200 to €300. Both are premium Swiss and Swedish systems with decades of clinical data, both carry our written 5-year warranty, and for most patients the right choice comes down to bone quality, the treatment plan and the parts network in their home country. Our entry-tier implant, at €300 to €400, is a separate product and is never sold under either brand name.
Patients often arrive with one of two questions: "Is Straumann better than Nobel?" or "Why does the same implant cost so much less in Albania?" The honest answer to the first is that both are excellent and the difference is in the details of your case, not in a ranking. The answer to the second is that the implants are the same products at the same official prices; what is lower in Tirana is the clinical cost around them, not the quality of the fixture going into your jaw. This guide sets out what each system is, what each costs at our clinic, and how our surgeons decide between them.
Straumann, based in Basel, Switzerland, is the most widely studied implant brand in the world. The Bone Level Tapered (BLT) implant we use combines a tapered body, which gives strong initial stability in softer bone and in fresh extraction sockets, with Straumann's SLA and SLActive surfaces, the treated titanium surfaces behind its integration record. BLT is made from Roxolid, a titanium-zirconium alloy that is stronger than pure titanium and allows narrower implants where space or bone is limited.
Nobel Biocare, founded in Sweden on the research of Per-Ingvar Brånemark, placed the first modern titanium implant in 1965 and has more than fifty years of follow-up data behind it. Its best-known implants are NobelActive and NobelParallel Conical Connection, and we select the Nobel implant for each case from that range. NobelActive has an aggressive tapered thread that condenses bone as it goes in, giving very high initial stability, which is why it is the workhorse of immediate-load full-arch cases such as All-on-4. Nobel's TiUnite surface has its own long integration record, and the conical connection creates a tight seal between implant and abutment that protects the bone around the neck of the implant.

Official Elonix prices for 2026, quoted in euros. Abutment, CBCT scan, any bone grafting and temporary teeth are itemised separately on your written plan, so you can see exactly what the total covers before you travel.
We do not push one brand over the other, and the €100 difference is rarely the deciding factor. The decision follows the CBCT scan and the treatment plan:
In most single-tooth cases either system will give an equally good long-term result. When that is true, we say so, and the choice is yours.
We also place a quality entry-tier implant at €300 to €400. It is a certified, CE-marked system that we have used for years with excellent results, and for many patients on a budget it is the right choice. What it is not is a Straumann or a Nobel Biocare at a discount. A clinic anywhere that quotes a premium brand name at an entry-tier price is describing two different products at once, and one of the descriptions is wrong. At Elonix the brand and the price always travel together on your written plan, so you know precisely which fixture is going in.
An implant price is the fixture. A complete tooth adds an abutment, the connector between fixture and crown, and the crown itself, which at Elonix is zirconia at €200 to €300. Your plan lists each item, plus the CBCT scan, any grafting and temporary teeth, so there is nothing to discover at the final bill.
Treatment with either system follows the same two-trip pattern. The first visit, 3 to 5 days, covers the scan, placement and a temporary tooth. After 3 to 6 months of healing at home, the second visit of 5 to 7 days fits the abutment and final crown. For All-on-4 with Nobel, the first visit is 5 to 7 days and you leave with a fixed provisional bridge. Full detail is in our how it works guide, and prices for every treatment are in the price guide.
Every implant we place, Straumann, Nobel Biocare or entry tier, carries our written 5-year warranty. Because we are one fixed clinic in Tirana, placing more than 8,000 implants a year, the team that treated you is the team that honours it. Our warranty guide sets out the terms in full.
